Luxury Log Cabin

Thistledome Organic Farm Retreat offers a unique experience of staying on our organic small holding in a beautiful, luxurious log cabin with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Inside the log cabin sleeps 4 people, children and 1 well behaved dog are most welcome.

Bedrooms
there are two comfortable heated bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one twin room with two single beds, both with good quality linen. Hair dryer and alarm clock radio are provided.
Living area
the relaxing lounge area is open plan with two comfortable leather sofas, a cosy Scandanavian log burner with logs provided, Wifi, TV with freeview / dvd, music system, games, books and tourist information. There are French doors leading out onto the decking veranda from which there are magnificent countryside views across our field and over the Severn valley.
Dining area
the dining area is also open plan with a good sized dining table which would easily seat 6.
Kitchen
the beautifully fitted open plan kitchen is very well equipped for a self catering holiday with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Tea towels, washing powder, fabric conditioner, dishwasher tablets, cleaning materials, cling film/foil are all provided along with complementary tea, coffee and sugar.
Shower room
the spacious shower room has a large corner shower, WC and basin with a heated towel rail. Soft towels, toiletries and robes are provided.

Outside the log cabin is situated in a lovely peaceful spot with stunning views, accessed from a private track within our own grounds.

There is a gravel car park area and gravel pathway around the whole cabin, a decking veranda and outdoor seating area with a private wood fired hot tub. The log cabin and garden is fully enclosed by a fence and gate. Garden furniture and sun loungers, lockable shed, plus a BBQ and fire pit are provided.

Sustainability

We are an organic farm and so no chemicals or pesticides are used on our land. Our produce is all sold locally and so very few food miles are incurred.

We aim to provide a relaxing holiday with all the modern conveniences and luxuries, but in as sustainable way as we can. The log cabin is made from wood from a sustainable source and we have chosen furniture from a sustainable source such as the mango dining room and bedroom furniture and the beautiful organic jute rugs.

We have sourced" A" rated appliances and we are on a renewable energy tariff. The shower and hot water are both electrically heated and so there is no wastage. We have provided electric heaters to warm up the log cabin but the log burner is a very sustainable and fun way to keep warm!

The wood fired hot tub is the ultimate way to relax whilst looking out over the views and watching fantastic sunsets. A perfect spot for relaxing and admiring the view, with beautiful country walks from your doorstep, ideally situated for exploring Worcestershire.

            There are amazing views from the log cabin so you could simply enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside, sitting out on the veranda or relaxing in the private hot tub.

        Walking
        
            There are many beautiful walks round rambling country lanes, over farm fields and alongside the beautiful River Severn - just ask and we can point you in the right direction.

        Cycling
        
            The quiet, pretty country lanes are a cycling paradise if you wish to bring a bike.

        Farm stay
        
            Staying on a farm provides instant entertainment in various forms! There are sheep grazing so you may get to see our sheepdog round them up. There are free range chickens grazing nearby and we sometimes have a couple of pigs. There are fantastic views and remarkable sunsets, also bird watching and other wildlife to spot. You could have a little insight into a farming way of life and learn about organic vegetable production, with the opportunity to sample some fresh, local organic produce.
